Weight Loss Is All About Your Choices

Eating the wrong foods is the most simplest of reasons as to why you are overweight.
If you are working late hours, running around after children to all hours, socializing with friends most nights, it is hard to control the foods you are eating because you are not preparing it yourself. Chances are you are eating at ‘odd’ times of the day that are not consistent on a daily basis due to your lifestyle. And when you do get a chance to grab something to eat, it is generally on the run and a choice of convenience rather then that of requirement.
You try every diet you can get your hands on in between devoting your time to husbands, wives, children, friends and of course, the boss, you can feel the loss of control you are loosing over your body. Your choices become easier because you feel that you have done it for so long, you can’t remember how not to.
You start to see yourself in the mirror a little more and you realize that you may have put on just a little bit of weight. That your cheeks look a little rounder and you find yourself constantly standing up taller so you don’t look as wide.
You figure you could just miss a meal here or there and get that back in no time but soon realize that the only thing you are loosing is the patience to deal with your lifestyle demands while feeling so hungry.
Starving yourself will never sustain weight loss. The body is smarter then that unfortunately, it detects any major drop in energy consumed and it sends out a memo to your metabolism informing it to burn at a slower rate because it is unsure when it will get ‘fed’ again!
Failing that, you turn to any diet you can get your hands on to help shed the few kilos that ‘life’ just got in the way of.
The low carb diet has caught your attention and after realizing that in order to stick to the diet you learnt that you weren’t permitted to enjoy a ‘normal’ restaurant meal for many months after you began, you throw that in.
You always think you have to set a time to start eating better.
Time is now. Every second is time and while you may be short on that, you can do something simple today.
You can change the way you think about food.
FOOD is more powerful than you may have given it credit at first. And that’s because you have probably always associated food as being something you need to get through your day and maybe missed how important the ‘right’ food is, to getting you through your day.
The truth is food can determine how your day is. If you eat foods high in fats and oil rather then rich in vitamins, you will be crankier. Prone more to feeling stressed in situations where (your body wasn’t telling you off at the same time as your boss), you could have performed better.
But eating the right foods is not enough in itself. It is definitely the best start you could be looking for right now but it is also important that you eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.
If you are ever looking for something that we all have in common, no matter where in the world we are from, it is this. We all universally have in common breakfast, lunch and dinner, and that’s because your body is like an ‘engine’ and it only needs certain foods at certain times of the day, and if you don’t eat the right foods at the right times then it won’t burn those calories – and your body will end up storing those calories as fat tissue.
You have become overweight because of ‘convenience’ in a hectic world with many demands on you.
You can get slim by eating the right foods at the right times of the day. And almost every person in today’s society is buying mostly ‘low fat’ or ‘non fat’ food at the grocery store and everyone is ‘fat conscious’. It makes you cringe to read statistics about the global epidemic of obesity rising and recalling that slight glance you caught of yourself in the mirror earlier. However, people are getting fatter than ever by doing this and people are not losing weight by switching to the "low fat lifestyle". This is not working.
You need to eat the right foods at the right times of the day. It is as simple as that.
